The Ruff House is... ~Solving Behavior Problems ~Preventing Problems ~Family Dogs ~4-H Training ~Dog Sports ~Dog Games ~Grooming ~Video and Book Library OPEN ON WEEKENDS BY APPOINTMENT The Ruff House is located in Thermopolis, WY and offers many dog training and grooming opportunities. Kate also travels to other Wyoming towns for occasional private lessons or monthly group pet training lessons. Dog Training Classes in Thermopolis Dog Trainer Kate Huver has more than a dozen years of experience and holds drop in group training classes on weekends at The Ruff House located at 718 Broadway. Classes start up again in January 2012 and are ongoing almost every weekend. Private lessons in Worland Kate travels to Worland once a month for Private lessons (usually on Sunday) Group lessons in Riverton We are getting a group of people together in Riverton WY for a monthly group training session. Request a group or private lesson in your town. Kate is willing to travel on weekends to other towns. Since this is a hobby and not a full-time job, the cost is only to have all expenses paid. Grooming Kate also loves to groom dogs and specializes in the ranch dog grooming, grooming older fragile dogs, dogs who have grooming fears and need extra time and TLC. At this time there is no one at The Ruff House doing professional haircuts, but there is a job opening for an experience groomer, or someone who wants to go to grooming school and learn. * OPEN BY APPOINTMENT only. OPEN for emergency grooming. 4-H Club This is the reason for it all. Kate opened The Ruff House so that the 4-H kids would have place to train there dogs. There is never a charge for the 4-H kids to groom or train here, and any 4-H group is welcome including Cats, Rabbits, small animals, and of course the dogs. * Note: Kate Huver runs this program alone and has a full-time Monday through Friday job, so the Ruff House is open by appointment only. Kate works for UPS and so there is no training or grooming (except for emergencies) Thanksgiving through New years. There is a possibility for a business partnership here if the right person wanted to learn dog training and go to dog grooming school. Thermopolis needs a pet-sitter or pet nanny, dog walker, doggy-daycare, dog park... And other socialization and care opportunities for dogs (and cats). Persons looking for such a job would just have to hang out and help out for a while to see if it would work out. c |
